For most of us, we have wonderful memories of mothers in our lives or the life changing memory of becoming a mother, all beautiful and heart warming.
Meet another mother, Mariatu, from Sierra Leone. Mariatu is now pregnant for the third time. Both of her former pregnancies ended in her babies not surviving childbirth, being delivered in her small stucco hut with dirt floors and few comfort measures. Mariatu is now a part of Rotifunk Hospital’s prenatal clinic program. She is receiving frequent checkups and plans to be admitted to the hospital prior to her delivery date for careful monitoring and a safe delivery with a caring staff. Mariatu longs to hold a beautiful baby in her arms for the first time.
All her care will be paid for by Mission of Hope, all by donations given in love. Won’t you partner with us this Mother’s Day and help bring the joy of motherhood to Mariatu and many more like her?
