RISE! is a faith-based version of a national anti-racism training model offered in a two-day workshop from 10 am to 6 pm, March 8-9, 2024. Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach, NC, is the host location for this event. A small registration fee will provide curriculum and lunch on both days. Lodging is up to the individual. Lodging suggestions with special rates are below.
RISE! is designed to equip and support spiritual leaders, faith-based organizations, and religious institutions to recognize, confront, and challenge racism and cultivate an equitable future.
The goal of the event is to help participants face the present-day reality of racism and to increase their capacity for change.
We look forward to spending time learning to put our new knowledge into practice.
