The Harbor District Antiracism Team “Living into the Beloved Community” would like to invite you to explore the “What is Series” from the General Commission on Religion and Race. You will have the opportunity to explore concise descriptions, Biblical/theological foundations, and examples of the language as we engage in anti-racism work.
It’s easy to participate… We will explore one word each month.
You can participate as you choose, in whatever way is helpful to you by:
- Receiving and reading the Harbor District Newsletter
- Visiting and reading the team’s articles at harbordistrict@nccumc.org
- Joining the zoom gathering on Third Thursday at 7:00 pm through https://us02web.zoom.us/j/9313475072 or Third Friday at Noon through https://us02web.zoom.us/j/9313475072
- You can join the zoom sessions by responding to this email: bescyep@gmail.com
- Each Monday we will send a reminder with the documents for the month.
Remember: You can join us for everything or only do what speaks to you. There are no rules. “Our hope is as you engage this series, the learning will equip you to move into deeper waters in anti-racism work in your respective context.”
Mark your calendars now!
