The Mission Of Hope Board of Directors would like to invite all churches in the Harbor District to remember Mission of Hope in their 2020 budget and Christmas offering. Your giving can save a life!. Please also see the below info on the “Madonna Project”
“Madonna Project” In Sierra Leone, Africa, 1 in 9 infants die at birth, 1 in 18 mothers die while giving birth, and the average birthweight of newborns is under 5 pounds. Mission of Hope-Rotifunk Hospital is working hard to change these numbers through our “Madonna Project”. In prenatal and outreach clinics, expectant moms are screened for risk factors such as poor nutritional status, high blood pressure, infection, or twins. These ladies are given the opportunity to stay in the hospital for 1 week prior to their due date, being fed nutritious meals while being closely monitored. They deliver their babies at the hospital and stay 3 days after delivery to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
Most mothers in Rotifunk cannot afford hospital stays and deliver their babies at home without medical supervision. By “sponsoring” a mom you can change this dilemma. The total cost for each mom is a mere $90.00.
Please help us help them- donate by check to Mission of Hope, either in the offering plate or by mail to Mission of Hope-Rotifunk Hospital, p.o.box 11103, Wilmington, N.C. 28404. YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE !!!!
